Working Equitation Cattle Clinic
with USAWE “S” judge Doreen Atkinson and Gelinas Farm’s Artie Snow.

The clinic begins with Doreen for an informative classroom session explaining the rules of the Working Equitation cattle trial. Riders will then be walked through a groundwork session.

Artie will instruct riders on how to introduce horses that are new to cows, and will provide instruction on the basics of moving cattle individually and as a team. Riders will have the opportunity to practice the cattle trial in its entirety while Doreen supports with providing rules and team strategy.

All clinic participants are required to the attend classroom and groundwork session. Any rider that is entering the Cattle Trial at the USAWE show on Sunday June 19 that HAS NOT already competed in a Cattle Trial is required to attend this clinic.

Clinic Schedule:

8:00- 10:00 Classroom and unmounted session
10:30-12:00 Group 1
12:00-1:00 Lunch
1:00-2:30 Group 2
3:00-4:30 Group 3
Limited to 12 riders.

Fee: $200 per rider
Stabling: Thursday, June 17 $25/provide your own bedding.
Camping: $25/night for hookups. $10/ dry camping
Auditors welcomed to attend all sessions - $50
